On Tuesday 3 September, 2019 the organics recycling industry celebrated industry achievements over the past year in the state of Victoria. The event was well attended by over 70 representatives from organics processors, to industry suppliers, state and local government organisations.
Ms. Sarah Connolly. MP, member of the Legislative Assembly highlighted the importance of the sector and the support the government is providing to the organics recycling industry in Victoria.
Frank Harney, Chair of the Victoria branch of the Australian Organics Recycling Association said: “it is pleasing to see so many companies and organisations performing so well and leading the way, at a time when food waste and the waste sector overall is such a hot topic.”
Winner of the 2019 Outstanding Contribution to Industry Development Award was Declan McDonald – SESL Australia. Declan has provided passionate and practical advocacy for soil health using all types of recycled organics for many years and has had an outstanding contribution to the industry.
